There are at current two different versions of FreeMind to choose from, the stable 0.8.0 version, and a 0.9.0 beta version.

Both can be downloaded via the FreeMind website at http://freemind.sourceforge.net

My recommendation is to use the 0.9.0 Beta15 (most recent version at the time of writing). Although it is called "FreeMind Unstable", it really is quite stable, and the feature set is enhanced significantly compared to version 0.8.0

So, download FreeMind-Windows-Installer-0_9_0-Beta15.exe from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=7118&package_id=188772

Installation

Installation of FreeMind on a Windows computer is straightforward. Simply execute the downloaded installer program.

You need to have time Java 1.4 (or later) run-time engine installed in advance.
